The Whistleblower

Same sad story. You’ve heard the song? Anyway, I blew the whistle at the public broadcaster in South Africa and now they want me out. No harm, no foul. It’s business. But it’s a dirty business when those entrusted with authority at the public broadcaster, use that power to settle personal scores.

They’re contemplating disciplinary proceedings against me. The charges are spurious. As were the first set of charges back in 2018. I triumphed then and I will certainly triumph now. You know, I have to ask, what exactly is the martyr with the SABC?

Why go after your top legal journalist, who is versatile and highly competent? Especially since said journalist is an outstanding member of the profession. In good standing. And also, why risk exposure of evidence of corruption, workplace bullying and discrimination. Fools tread where angels fear to go.

I suppose it’s all par for the course for a cheeky native, like me. A clever black, in South African parlance. Well I’m sorry, not sorry, baas, but ain’t nobody gonna shut this powerhouse down. Awombness. Dala what you must.
